Self-guided excursions

The impressive 1 kilometer wide and 400 meters deep crater of San Salvador volcano is a wonder of nature and it is located just 90 minutes away by bus. After a short hike to the top you will enjoy this amazing view.

El Boquerón

Fresh water coming from inside the rock in this mountainous area is taken to nice pools where you can enjoy a swim, relax listening to the falling water or simply admire the beauty of the place. Located just 60 minutes away by bus.

Los Chorros

The closest coastal area from the city where you can ride the waves, have some delicious sea food, shop for crafts made out products from the sea and watch the colorful and stinky fish market. It is located just 90 minutes away by bus.

La Libertad Port

This is an amazing archaeological site and the only place where you can see how simple mayan people used to live until the day a nearby volcano sealed the fate of the village. Located just 90 minutes away by bus.
